What is the Groceries and Essentials Benefit? As you already know, people across Canada are struggling at levels never before seen. Food bank visits continue to climb, and governments have been doing very little to offer urgent and immediate relief to people in need. We have been calling for the federal government to introduce a Groceries and Essentials Benefit designed to make sure that every person in Canada can afford their basic needs like groceries and rent. So far, we have collected over 28,000 petition signatures and have helped Canadians send 10,000 letters to their political representatives. Now we need your help.
